Trip to Texas

I was lucky to be able to visit my brother and sister that live in Texas. I had a great time. The first day my sister and I went to the house that we grew up in, we wanted to knock on the door and see if we could go inside, but we were too chicken to ask. I was also there for my brother's birthday. We had a great time. Freddy came over to Samantha's house for dinner for his birthday and we had fun. Samantha and I made a nice collage of all of the nieces and nephews for his birthday present. My sister and I had a lot of fun running around. I helped her with her ward's Super Saturday. We had lunch with our brother Freddy and visited our Aunt (Sissy) and had lunch with her. I miss my Sissy! She had just moved so it was great to see her new house.

This is the house I grew up in. My mom also grew up in this house,

She lived there since she was 3 years old. My parents moved away for a while but then moved back before I was born. I lived there until I was 15.

My Mom gave my Dad this tree for his 40th Birthday.

They planted it in the front yard and I love that it's still there.

My Gandmother planted a tree in the back yard when my mom was little and I remember it very well. Unfortunately, the new owners of the house had it removed. :-(

Trunk-or-Treat

We had a great time at our trunk-or-treat as you can see in our pictures. It was the first time in a long time that we didn't have to bundle up for a cold night of fun. It was in the high 60's and nice!

What a great day for a hike

On Saturday Steven woke up and said that he wanted us to hike the local caves. We had never done this and I thought that it was a great day for it. So we got ready and took off for a great day. We took lots of great pictures and I am posting alot of them, because I will never do it AGAIN :-)

Who wants to buy a warm watermelon?

Meet the Gross's or Gross' (whatever the right way to do it is) Farmer's Market on wheels. Matthew, of course, had this great idea to sell our produce instead of letting it go bad on our counter. Well, we started with a makeshift wagon out of a skateboard, then decided to borrow an actual red wagon from a neighbor. Matthew, Ella and I walked around the neighborhood selling our produce for very high prices. Matthew is a natural sales guy. When someone would ask, how much a watermellon cost, Matthew would respond by saying that they could buy two for $2 instead of, they are $1 each. That's my boy. We, I mean, the kids made $15, which they split evenly. It was lots of fun. I think Ella learned a lot from Matthew in his salesman techniques. Eventually, they pooped out and dad was left pulling both of them with a couple of cantelopes rolling around. Hopefully everyone that purchased from us enjoyed their produce. If you didn't, sorry, no refunds... Anyway, if you see a couple of cute kids walking in front of your house with a weird looking skateboard thing carrying fruit, come out and say "hi". You might just be able to pick up some fruit or vegetables for cheap prices!! You might just score a deal "2 watermellons for the price of $2!!"

Girls, it is time for our favorite show of the season to start and what a better way to kick it off than with friends.
